Tegucigalpa.-El exgerente administrativo del Instituto Hondureño de Seguridad Social (IHSS), José Ramón Bertetti, fue condenado este lunes a siete años de prisión, por haber comprado de forma fraudulenta unas 10 ambulancias.
El Tribunal de Sentencias decidió condenar al exfuncionario, luego que el Ministerio Público lograra probar que compró de forma anómala unidades de transporte de pacientes, las cuales fueron hechas en Honduras, con productos de mala calidad.
El costo de las ambulancias, fue superior a los 10 millones de lempiras, a razón de un millón por cada vehículo adquirido.
El organismo acusador del Estado se felicitó por lograr la primera sentencia condenatoria contra uno de los implicados en el colosal desfalco al IHSS que supera los siete mil millones de lempiras.
La Unidad Nacional de Apoyo Fiscal, dijeron sus miembros, ha logrado “la primera sentencia definitiva que la justicia hondureña emite en el sonado megafraude del Seguro Social”.
Bertetti fue absuelto por otros delitos; pero tiene pendientes otros juicios y recursos interpuestos ante el Tribunal Penal para revertir sentencias emanadas por los jueces que conocen el latrocinio que padeció el IHSS.
